This antique Victorian mourning brooch, dating to the Civil War era, features a striking buckle design with a chain drop—believed to be associated with remembrance practices of the Civil War era, Union soldier and Odd Fellows member, dating to the mid-to-late 1800s. Hand-carved from gutta percha and accented with glass detailing, it remains in remarkable condition for its age.
