Each item inside Mrs. Bones Curio Cupboard is selected with intention—never ordinary, never without a story.

Some are handcrafted. Some are discovered. All are chosen to bring a little intrigue, beauty, or curiosity into your world.

A Genuine Piece of the Louisiana Bayou

Bring a little Louisiana wild into your collection with a genuine preserved alligator head sourced from a family-run Louisiana supplier with roots in the alligator industry dating back to 1970.

Each head is a real natural specimen, professionally preserved to showcase the distinctive scales, teeth, shape, and character of the American alligator. Because these are genuine specimens rather than manufactured replicas, no two will ever be exactly alike. Natural variations in coloration, shape, teeth, markings, and overall appearance are part of what makes each one unique.

These make wonderfully unusual additions to curiosity cabinets, oddities collections, rustic and Southern décor, natural-history displays, conversation-piece shelves—or anywhere that could use a little more bite.

Available Sizes

Small – 5–6 in.
A compact specimen that's easy to display on a shelf, desk, bookcase, or inside a curiosity cabinet.

Medium – 7–8 in.
A larger specimen with more visual presence while still being an easy size for tabletop or shelf display.

Measurements refer to the approximate length of the alligator head in inches.

Naturally One of a Kind

Please expect natural variation. The specimen you receive may differ somewhat from the representative photographs in coloration, markings, tooth placement, size, shape, and other naturally occurring characteristics.

Louisiana Heritage

Our supplier sources these specimens through their family's multi-generational Louisiana alligator processing business. According to the maker, their family has hands-on experience in the Louisiana alligator industry dating to 1970.

Each specimen includes its supplier identification/tag information and an Alligator King story card.

About Your Alligator's Identification Tag

Each genuine alligator head includes its accompanying identification and informational tag, which provides fascinating information about the specimen and Louisiana's regulated alligator industry.

The tag identifies the specimen as a real alligator head from an animal farm-raised for its skin and meat; the original eyes are replaced during preparation. It also explains the role of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LADWF) identification number assigned to farmed alligators and how that system helps document legally harvested animals.

The accompanying tag also discusses the American alligator's protected status and the regulations designed to safeguard the species and support its continued survival.

According to the identification information accompanying the specimen, the item was inspected and prepared in Louisiana in accordance with Louisiana state and U.S. federal regulations.

The identification/information tag shown in our photographs is included with the specimen.
